The Woodlands Development Company (TWDC), along with lovable mascot of The Woodlands, Puffy Pine Cone, is hosting Splash 'N' Snow Cone Sundays to mark the Grand Openings of the "Flower Garden" Sprayground at Timarron Park on Sunday, June 19 from 4 to 6 pm and the "Pioneer" Sprayground at May Valley Park on Sunday, June 26 from 4 to 6 pm, according to Susan Vreeland-Wendt, Director of Marketing for TWDC.
At Splash 'N' Snow Cone Sundays, splash at the new spraygrounds and water inflatable rides and enjoy free hot dogs and snow cones in a variety of flavors and colors. Puffy Pine Cone will also be distributing free summertime gifts (while supplies last).
"We want families and children to enjoy this end of school and beginning of summer event," said Vreeland-Wendt. "Splash 'N' Snow Cone Sundays is a great introduction to our newest amenities in two of our newest neighborhoods, Timarron and May Valley, in The Woodlands."
The spraygrounds are located within Timarron Park at 550 North Greenprint Circle (77389) in the 240-acre neighborhood of Timarron in The Woodlands' Village of Creekside Park and May Valley Park at 11598 May Valley Circle (77354) in the 400-acre area of May Valley in The Woodlands' Village of Sterling Ridge. The spraygrounds have been carefully integrated into the design and theme of each park by Clark Condon Associates, Inc., landscape architect for the project. Each is about 2,000 square feet in size and contains environmentally-friendly recirculating water systems. The bases are made from colorful, sun-deck coated concrete. The themed features offer a variety of fun for toddlers and children as well as teenagers. There are 12 - 13 play elements within each sprayground.
