Carter's Memorial Day sale

I walked in today. The most expensive thing I bought was $7. Most of things I found were $5. I found a lot of things that worked for us. It is worth a look. We went to the portofino location.

Easy Peach Cobbler Recipe from my mom.

This is how I remember her telling it. We didn't have any flour so we used a little corn starch and a pie crust.

Mom's Peach Cobbler
Mix the following ingredients by hand in a bowl
4 cups peaches cut up into quarters.
1 cup flour
1 cup sugar
1 tablespoon of Vanilla
1 tablespoon of Cinnamon
1 cup of milk

Pour into baking dish.

Cut up a stick of butter into cubes. Sprinkle the cubes over the top of the cobbler. Bake in the oven at 350 degrees for an hour.

Serve with Vanilla Ice Cream.

Enjoy!

Black Berry Picking right at the front of The Woodlands

The farm on Sawdust rd near that 90 degree turn has Black Berries available to pick. We went on Monday and it was easy to pick. They were not picked over. We picked up a half a pound at $3.50/lb.

We also picked up a 7 lb flat of peaches for $7, squash $2/lb, cucumbers $2/lb, and a blackberry plant for $2.

I suggest going not at the hottest part of the day since the black berries grow in the sun.

The owner said there will be Tomato plants next Wednesday and at the start of June there should be Watermelons and Cantaloupes.

Wow!

Super Duper Inc is having a sale on their apps this week. Everything is $1.99.

They are mostly simple flash cards that have engaging pictures and phrases. They really have a lot of choices these days. It is worth flipping through to see if any will help. They are usually $5.99.

They sell the same ones in print versions, too.
