Free and cheap Music on Amazon

I just thought I would remind y'all that if you ever are looking for a free place to download mp3s, Amazon has an interesting collection.

They also are doing a $0.69 mp3 music sale of some top artists. The best part is that you can save your music in Amazon Cloud

Comments WonderWild Giveaway Post are Awesome!

Check out the comments on http://dealfindere.blogspot.com/2011/07/wonderwild-pass-giveaway-3-ways-to.html There are some really awesome tips!

Totally Target is definitely a good blog to get on. She does all the Target Matchups every week.

There are quite a few blogs out there that do matchups for the national stores. My current favorite is still Couponing to Disney because she covers most of them and does so much more. Then again, I am subscribed to like 15 blogs. So y'all can be deal finding crazy like me and sign up for a ton.

Reminder of must be on blogs if you live in the Houston area:

CamelBak Sale: 50% off at Zuilly

I love CamelBaks! They are the coolest way to drink water. The only place locally that I know that sales them is Academy. Bladders by themselves go for around $30. Since I hardly ever see sales on Camelbaks, I had forward this sale that I found on Zulily. Some of the Camelbaks are going for 50% off. The catch is that the sale ends 8/01 at 6am pdt so y'all have to act fast.

Please click through this link so I get credit for referring y'all. They also are having a Melissa and Doug Sale! Woohoo! I see a bunch of things that we have that I know we paid more for.

Michael's Trip Report: 7/30/2011

My mom and I went to Michael's to get wooden letters to paint as a craft for the kiddos. Since the trip was spontaneous, I just went to the computer and printed off a 40% off a regular priced item coupon.

Starting tomorrow for the whole week, you can get 20% off your entire purchase when you print  off the coupon from their website. I think I have to go back. They have a lot of fun things on sale and clearance right now. Some of their clearance items were down to $0.40 a piece.

Annoyingly, they already have their halloween stuff out. Isn't that crazy to put holiday themed merch. out 3 months ahead of time? I guess if you want to get the best selection on crafty things now is the time to go. I saw in a separate sticker aisle some face part stickers that would go great on small pumpkins for $0.99. They would also look cute on apples, oranges or any fruit or veggie. I think I will get them when I go back with the 20% off coupon.

There was a lot of summer clearance, too. I like their buckets, where were a $1. Think 20% off is $0.80. The buckets can be painted and decorated as a craft.

So overall, I felt like my experience today beat a trip to the dollar store because I found the same sort of merchandise for less. Make sure you know your prices at Michaels because some of their regular priced merch is overpriced. It is always nice to shop when there is a sale. I guess when I go I can stop by Lakeshore Learning for their big back to school sale. I have a bunch of coupons. The worst part of shopping for me right now is that I have this urge to shop but we don't really have anything that we need to buy.

WonderWild Review: Part 2

More pros:
You can see into most of the play structure because the walls are made out of netting.

Negative:
The nursing area is open to the rest of the Women's Restroom

The give away free passes can only be used once and for one child in a family.

Price Break:
Buy 10 passes for $85. They never expire.
Buy a membership: This is only a good deal if you have multiple children or if you really plan on going a lot. It says it is good for up to 4 kids in the immediate family.

The monthly price at WonderWild is about the same as a year membership to The Woodlands Childrens Museum. I guess that is the difference between a for-profit vs. a non-profit. The non-profit gets donations to supplement their overhead costs.

Speaking of the Children's museum, I wonder why they don't have a nursing area. I also think all these kids places should have unisex bathrooms.

Entertainment Book: 2 for $10 with free shipping

I couldn't resist getting the 2 books for $10 once shipping became free. So if anyone wants my picked over old book let me know since I don't need it now that I am getting 2 new and shiny ones again. At some point before the expire, I will be happy to pass off these 2 books, too. Probably around October 1.

I believe that you can go through any of the cash back sites to get this deal. I just clicked through the email I got from them before it was universally available. Too bad I was impatient. I am sure I will still get my money's worth in freebies.

WonderWild Pass GiveAway - 3 ways to Enter

So, we went to check out the new indoor playground in the Grogan's Mill Shopping Center today. We had a blast. My little one kept smiling. I know we will be back.

To help celebrate their new location, Wonder Wild was kind  enough to share 6 passes for free admission with my readers.
They can be used any time between now and 9/1/2011.

Review of WonderWild From http://www.gowonderwild.com/
First, the positives:
It is brand new so it feels nice and clean. All the equipment is clean.
There is something for all ages.
There is one giant inflatable obstacle course with a slide. 2 people can race to go through it.
They have a multi-level play structure connected to slides. I like how their are bridges and varied ways to go.
They have lots of soft things to climb on.
There is an area with a pretend kitchen, wooden puzzles, ball pit, and manipulatives to play with.
This is a great sensory stimulating environment.
I like how it isn't connected to a restaurant
I like the location. It is super close to me.

More Positives:
The staff was friendly, and we had complete freedom to do what we wanted in the play area.
Nursing Chair and Changing Station in Women's bathroom.
Music: I liked the music it was fun and energetic.

Things we have seen before.
You can climb the stairs to go up the climbing structure or you can go up a couple of multi-level towers similar to what we see at the Chick Fil A on Lake Woodlands. (These are definitely cleaner!)
Soft Mats that turn into an obstacle course. Some of them were new to me, but most of them I had seen before at The Woodlands Rec Center for the Preschool meet and greet. (Cost: $1 only once a week, though).
Ball Pit. Actually, the last ball pit I saw was at My Gym, but now they are closed.
Giant inflatable (a different one, but down the street is Pump It Up and I am still really impressed with Bouncin' Bears when it comes to a place to go for inflatables.
Melissa and Doug Puzzles. Love them!
Play Kitchen. Reminds me of when we go to Lakeshore Learning to do crafts.
3 lane slide. Reminds me of the slides at carnivals, just safer.

Things I haven't seen before.
Some of their soft climbing things like the mat that looks like swiss cheese and the ride ons.
Some of their bridges.
The two sit and spins attached to poles.
Some of the obstacles up in the play structure.

Negatives:
Shoe cubbies not obvious until pointed out.
Men's bathroom hiding a bit.
Standard get wet water fountain.
Most of the floor has new carpet, but I wish it was padded or spongy in case someone falls on it.
Normal Price Tag for Drop in play is $10/kid unless you get a membership.
The space is a good size, but I hear that he Heights location is much bigger.

Business ideas:
They could sell snacky food for extra profit.
They could also sell sensory merchandise similar to the play things there.

We were there from 4-5 today, 7/28/2011, and it wasn't too busy. I didn't know what to expect after experiencing the week after The Woodlands Children's museum opened. So, try it out and leave a comment with your opinion!

HEB: GoldFish is $1/bag Limit 5

That is a buy me price!

Walmart Sock Alert: Hanes boys 12 pack under $6.

That comes out to less than $0.50/pair sock. Much better than over $3/pair.

Reminder: Look through your Junk Mail for Coupons.

Sometimes, I find the best coupons in my junk mail. Last week, I found a free coffee at Burger King, and this week I found some decent Sweet Tomatoes coupons.

Target 75% off Clearance

So, I couldn't resist running in today when I was in the area and had 20 minutes of free time child free.
There were still lots of items even though you could see that much of the shelving was truly cleared out.

I picked up two battery operated bubble sets for a total of $3.50.  There wasn't much else I wanted/needed/couldn't resist.

I saw some shopping carts piled high so I guess it is just luck for the age group of your children and gender to see if you find some hidden treasures.

2 Deal Finding Tips about the $2 Meal Deals at Taco Bell

Tip Number 1: You can substitute Beans for Meat on any of the 4 meal deals.
Tip Number 2: For $0.20 more you can upsize your drink from a medium to a large.

I like these meal deals, especially if you factor in the cost of a soft drink by itself.

The also are still doing their $0.99 Burrito Supreme.

$1 off admission at Houston Children's museum

This isn't such a big deal, but I wanted to talk about parking at the museum.

The garage right next door is a bit pricey. If you look for street parking, you might find some that is free or $1.50/hour. The big negative is the walking distance if you aren't lucky. Plus, the idea that your car is less secure.

Every Thursday night is free from 5-8pm.

Office Depot: Shopping Trip 7/25/2011

I went in for the $0.25 dry erase markers, but of course they were already out.

We picked up 3 $0.01 pencil sharpeners which we don't need, and a 4 pack of glue sticks for $0.50, which we questionably need.

It was hard to walk out of the store empty handed. They were surprisingly busy for 3pm on a Monday.

My CVS Shopping Trip: 7/25/2011

So, I had an $8 ECB from buying contact solution a week ago that I wanted to use up.

The CVS on Sawdust is out of the RENU Contact Solution for this week.

I still found $9 worth of things to buy, which made my oop $1.

$1.99 Pens: Received $1.99 ECB
$3.49 Kotex Pads - $1 Manu coupon: Received $2 ECB
$5.49 Nature's Bounty Magnesium B1G1 - $2 coupon from CVS machine
$0.25 Notebook
$0.97 Palmolive - $0.25 Manu coupon

Plus, received $1 for scanning my reusable bag 4 times.

So, I have $5 in ECBs to use with a total oop for $9 for the last two trips to CVS.

Boogie Bash at The Woodlands Children's Museum aka Parachute Play every Tuesday at 11am

Hey guys,
We caught the parachute play this morning at The Woodlands Children's Museum. It was awesome. Everything that I would want in parachute play. We just happened to be in the area around 10:50am, and it started early. It is free with museum admission, which is $5/person. I am looking at the July calendar and Boogie Bash is on it every Tuesday at 11am. Also, if you haven't seen their awesome magic show, the next one is scheduled on July 26 at 11:30am.

The museum is open every day in July from 10am - 5pm except Sundays when they are open from noon -5pm.

Today was their one year anniversary. They also gave out sweet treats to all upon leaving.

FYI: It is located right next Brooklyn Bagel, TCBY and Sears in the Panther Creek Shopping Center.

Tip: The afternoons are the least crowded. They have special events most days at 11am. You can check out the calendar on their website.

Movie Tickets: As low as $4

Couponing to Disney is one of my favorite blogs. I usually read what she posts every day. I suggest signing up for hers since she covers most stores and finds a lot of coupon deals.

FWd From Couponing to Disney http://www.couponingtodisney.com/

Sprint and Fandango have partnered together to lower the prices of movie tickets. Through August 14th, you can register your mobile number to help reduce the price of tickets. The more people that register, the lower the tickets cost (the lowest is $4 a ticket). Then on August 15th, you will be able to get your promotional code that is worth up to $14.50. You will have until October 15th to use your code. This is limited to the first 100,000 people who register.

I read through the terms and it doesn't look like you have to be a Sprint customer to participate.

Cinemark Tinseltown Prices went up! Also, Winnie the Pooh comes on July 15. 1st Showing $5.25 at 12pm

The movie is only 1 hour and 9 minutes. I wonder why the first showing is at noon? I'm ok with that 'cause we happen to have morning plans that day. We went to Cars 2 and noticed that the concession prices had gone up, too. The Kids Pack is now $5 even (was $4.50). C'est la vie.
