Art from Our Community will immerse families into the innovative work of Houston´s young artists. *Share a piece of your community as you create a work of art inspired by the view from your favorite window. Take inspiration from photographs in the Eye on Third Ward* exhibition. Find out about the nationally recognized Photography Program at Jack Yates High School, and hear the student-artists talk about their photographs in the Eye on Third Ward exhibition. Learn how artists create photographs with staff from the Houston Center for Photography.**
Sketch communities that have inspired other artists— an MFAH Teaching Artist will be on hand to help get you started. Create a silhouette of yourself inside your community. Start by tracing your head on a large sheet of paper. Use fun drawing materials to show others more about yourself and where you live. Don´t miss an incredible Ballet Folklorico and Marichi performance by young artists from MECA (Multicultural Education and Counseling through the Arts) at 2 and 3pm. Denny's Press Release and a link to my favorite blog

I love Money Saving Mom (www.moneysavingmon.com). Definitely one of my favorite blogs of all time. Check out the press release from Denny's. Denny's will be again giving away a free Grand Slam Breakfast to all customers on February 9, 2010.

I signed up earlier today and the free hamburgers were already gone. They gave me a 20% off coupon instead.

I did the yogi tea sample, too. Easy to do.

HEB is selling the cat treats for 2 for $3. I had a $2 off 2 coupon and the b1g1 free that I used recently. The price has been pretty constant.
