Nature Learning Idea: Trees with and without leaves.

Here is a conversation starter. Go outside and see if you can spot trees that have no leaves, colored leaves, and green leaves. Talk about the seasons. For me, it is now winter time because there are trees that have lost all the leaves. I have noticed that you can see more of the hidden ponds and playgrounds around The Woodlands because you can see through the trees. Also, in winter, I can hear more vehicular traffic because the foliage isn't there to dampen the noise.
